Stairs, Windows & Doors

We added 2" of insulation to the north
and south sides and sealed the cracks
with foam. The east and west sides
will be covered with 16" of cellulose.

There they are, our "his and hers" skylights.

After looking at our newly-installed skylight above
the stairway, we decided to add another.

The whole crew arrives to install the door.

First, a treated rim board is attached. It will support our deck.

It took a while for some "mulling" materials to arrive,

but now our french door can be installed

The windows are now (mostly) in.

Our front door, on the right, remains in the
warehouse for protection. A smaller exterior door
from the old house will be used during construction.
